We’re not just yoga. Avikam Yoga is a yoga experience offering stress reduction and mental wellness strategies through movement and mindfulness that empowers its students to trust themselves and recognize their own power.
EMOTIONAL ASSOCIATIONS + COLOR PSYCHOLOGY
Avikam Yoga promises to create a safe space for students to explore within their own bodies and minds through movement and meditation, so it is imperative that the branding effectively communicates trust and dependability. Blue is most known for these elements — reliable, responsible, and mentally soothing. Blue encourages feelings of calmness or serenity — an ideal reflection of the journey Avikam Yoga takes its students on.
Blue is often described as peaceful, tranquil and orderly, which gives a sense of the state of mind Chantel guides her students to through teaching movement, mindfulness and meditation. Blue is a sign of stability, which I see as an opportunity to bring support to the potential ‘instability’ of SUP yoga, a busy mind and wobbly poses!
Instilling confidence and competence in every student is a goal of Avikam yoga, and maintaining a minimal, easy to navigate site ensures no one is lost on crucial information (like booking a class) and feeling empowered to step onto the mat with Chantel. It’s easeful mobile optimisation, clean fonts and nature-based imagery is a well-balanced and centred portrayal of Chantel’s mission.
